Shah Carpet Palace is about preserving a rich culture and continuing a family journey that began 1970s, by curating vast collections of beautiful rugs and introducing them to the new generation of enthusiast for whom the story behing a carpet is as important as its aesthetics.

From humble beginnings to huge successes, Shah Carpet Palace is a family owned and operated business. The story of Shah Carpet Palace began over 50 years ago, when our founder, Rokhan Shah began working in the carpet and rug industry as an apprentice.

He quickly learned something very important about the trade that anyone can sell carpets, but delivering a quality product that fits perfectly is an art. With this in miind, Rokhan Shah worked hard to support his family with his craft. Years later, he fulfilled his dream of owning not one but two of his own carpet stores in Wyndham Street, previously known as Persian Carpet Gallery, which has since been renamed to Shah Carpet Palace.

With an extensively active career in carpet retail, Rokhan Shah retired in 2019, passing the reins to hin son, Haider Shah, who was already actively involved in the business for over two decades.

Today Shah Carpet Palace is still family owned and run by the second generation of Shahs, having the same desire to provide carpets and rugs of unparalleled craftmanship, quality and design.

Haider Shah has continued with and build upon the tradition of high service levels, attention to detail and brought this company forward to where it is today.

Launching its biggest gallery space by far in the heart of Central, Hong Kong. Rokhan Shah’s youngest son, Jaffar Shah joined the company soon after, serving as their sales manager. His light hearted demeanor allows him to interact with customers to obtain a good understanding of what they are looking for.

Proof of the success of the company’s mission, Shah Carpet Palace’s rugs can be found in countless number of living spaces, retail showrooms, offices and the lobby to a major business buildings.
